intervention chirurgicale pratiqu\u00e9e pour r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer des spermatozo\u00efdes directement dans les testicules des hommes qui ont des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 produire des spermatozo\u00efdes dans leur \u00e9jaculat. Cette proc\u00e9dure est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utilis\u00e9e dans les cas d\u2019infertilit\u00e9 masculine, comme l\u2019azoospermie (l\u2019absence de spermatozo\u00efdes dans l\u2019\u00e9jaculat). L\u2019azoospermie touche environ 1 % de la population g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, et ce pourcentage passe \u00e0 15 % dans la population infertile. L\u2019azoospermie peut \u00eatre class\u00e9e en deux types principaux&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li2\"><b>Azoospermie non obstructive (NOA) :<\/b> Le TESE est principalement utilis\u00e9 pour la NOA, o\u00f9 il n\u2019y a pas de spermatozo\u00efdes dans l\u2019\u00e9jaculat mais le potentiel de production de spermatozo\u00efdes dans le testicule existe. Dans ce type, il y a une d\u00e9faillance testiculaire entra\u00eenant une r\u00e9duction de la production de spermatozo\u00efdes. Elle peut r\u00e9sulter de facteurs g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques, d\u2019anomalies chromosomiques, d\u2019infections, de m\u00e9dicaments, d\u2019une descente testiculaire incompl\u00e8te, d\u2019un traumatisme ou d\u2019autres causes sous-jacentes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><b>Azoospermie obstructive (OA) :<\/b> Dans l\u2019arthrose, les spermatozo\u00efdes sont produits dans les testicules, mais une obstruction les emp\u00eache d\u2019atteindre l\u2019\u00e9jaculat.
