Can I Freeze My Eggs If I Am Single?

Can I Freeze My Eggs If I Am Single

Absolutely – yes, you can.

Egg freezing is not just for couples, and it’s not only for medical emergencies. If you’re single and thinking about your future fertility, freezing your eggs is a proactive and empowering step – and NOW-fertility is here to make the journey seamless, supportive, and even enjoyable.

Why More Single Women Are Choosing to Freeze Their Eggs

Being single doesn’t mean you need to put your future family plans on hold. More and more women are choosing to freeze their eggs to take control of their fertility – without waiting for “the right time” or “the right partner.”

Here are a few of the most common reasons why single women choose egg freezing:

  • Career or education priorities
  • Desire to wait for the right partner
  • Health, family history, or early menopause concerns
  • Peace of mind and flexibility for the future
  • Wanting more time to explore life

Whatever your reason, it’s valid – and you’re not alone. Egg freezing puts the power back in your hands.

The Ideal Time to Freeze Your Eggs – And Why It Matters

Biologically speaking, egg quality and quantity naturally decline with age – which is why many women are encouraged to consider egg freezing in their late 20s or early to mid-30s. However, it’s never too late to explore your options and to consider egg freezing.

Freezing your eggs while they’re still healthy increases the chances of successful IVF pregnancy in the future – and offers freedom from time pressure.

Egg Freezing Abroad: A Smart Choice for Single Women

With NOW-fertility, you don’t have to navigate this journey alone or settle for what’s available locally. We offer egg freezing for single women in leading fertility clinics within our network at various locations across Europe, UK, Middle East and North Africa, namely:

Egypt, Greece, Italy, Poland, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, and the UK

Each country offers world-class fertility care in fully licensed clinics – and our expert clinical team ensures everything is tailored for international patients. Legal access for single women is available in most destinations, and we guide you through the best choice for your individual circumstances. We know well that it is not “one size fits all”, thus why we take a very personalised approach to fertility care.

A Holiday With a Purpose: Combine Fertility Care With Travel

One of the most unique aspects of egg freezing with NOW-fertility is the opportunity to combine your treatment with travel, discovering new places and relaxing.

What to Expect: Your Egg Freezing Journey With NOW-fertility

Here’s how the process typically works:

  1. Book a consultation with one of our fertility consultants and a specialist nurse. This can be either face to face on Zoom or face to face (ie, in person) in clinic.
  2. Complete some simple initial fertility tests to assess your ovarian reserve.
  3. Begin hormone stimulation treatment for around 10–12 days. Your fertility consultant will prepare an individualised stimulation protocol for you and the medications can be purchased from our own pharmacy and delivered to your home. Monitoring during the cycle can be arranged for you locally near where you leave or at any other location if you are considering travel for work or pleasure.
  4. At the point that you are ready to have your eggs harvested, travel to your chosen clinic location. We advise you to plan when to travel.
  5. Undergo the egg retrieval – a short, safe procedure performed under sedation.
  6. Eggs are frozen and stored for your future use in a secure laboratory.

And just like that – your future fertility is protected. You can repeat the process, if you decide to save more eggs. Our recommendation is to have no less than 12-15 mature eggs frozen.

Your Future, Your Choice

Freezing your eggs is not about rushing into parenthood. It’s about giving yourself time, space, and options. For single women, this decision is about self-care, empowerment, and planning ahead without pressure.

And, you don’t have to do it alone.
