IVF treatment can be very overwhelming, especially for the first time. The full process can take time, the stimulation medication can be scary to inject, costs are often quite high and results can still not be as expected.
We do know that anxiety and stress are a major part of having any medical treatment and knowing that we could help reduce it would play a vital part in the success of treatment.
Within NOW-fertility, we believe that having a personal team dedicated to each patient’s case will help them feel reassured and supported through their own fertility journey. Knowing that someone from the team is up to speed with their medical case and readily available makes a huge impact on their care.
Even after enough time spent on consultations and educational teaching sessions with us, patients can still feel worried.
Being able to contact their own dedicated nurse any time for even the smallest questions also helps the patient to understand better any instructions given by the clinician and to minimise any non-compliance to the treatment process. It can help with remembering the proper guidelines by having the answer at the right time to memorise it.
Nurses within NOW-fertility are committed to following their own patients really closely. With their experience of care, they have learned to adapt themselves, to communicate properly and to recognise when someone could use a bit more support from them.
In addition, we offer counselling sessions when we believe that our patient could benefit from even more help from professionals to cope throughout the treatment process or to grieve after a failed cycle.
This extra bit of support and the closeness to the team allows the patient to go through their fertility journey in the best, most supported, way.
